So Excited . . . for a Cleanse?

Wish me luck! I ordered the Advocare 10 Day Herbal Cleanse last Wednesday. It was delivered last Saturday and I will start the cleanse today!

I'm really excited to give this a try. I've been feeling down about my body lately and doing something makes me feel better. I stopped exercising in August and September was so stressful. I started playing Wii Fit again on Monday in preparation for the cleanse and I am almost looking forward to avoiding added sugar for the next ten days.

Yesterday I measured out single serving sizes of unsalted cashews and sunflower seeds. I hard boiled a whole lot of eggs and I made my own carrot sticks. I'll be eating extra clean for the next ten days and I'll let you know how it went for me after it's over.

  1. oooh. another blogger recently posted about this cleanse. it was intriguing to me because (as a veteran of several master cleanses - where you don't eat, but rather just drink the "lemonade"!) that she ATE healthfully along with the cleanse products - brilliant! i even tried a 'taco shrimp' recipe that she posted. it occurred to me that i could just try the eating clean part (no processed foods, i'm guessing?) for 30 days (without the cleanse products). i ramble... again. let us know how it goes!

    1. Was that other blogger Hopsy at Kappa Prep? After I saw her Instagram about it I was curious. I finally cave and tried it this month because I was so stressed out after the dermatologist said I might have insulin resistance. (I do not, my glucose levels are excellent.)

The only reason I tried this cleanse was because I could eat real food. I cannot stand meal replacement shakes or bars. I could not do the master cleanse. It's been hard enough not eating sugar, dairy, or gluten.

I hope to have the results posted next Thursday (10/31) or the Tuesday (11/5) after next. I am thinking of putting up before an after photos but I'm not sure if I want a picture of me in a bikini floating around the internet.
